Harry kept a daily record of his activities as a member of its renowned band from January 1 to March 22, 1916, and subsequently served overseas for the war's duration.

Usual drill. Bandageing [sic] in afternoon. J. W. Henderson home again. At Ackers in eveing sic] also St. Mathews [sic] church social. Stormy and cold.
