Harry kept a daily record of his activities as a member of its renowned band from January 1 to March 22, 1916, and subsequently served overseas for the war's duration.

Left for Moncton this morning. Arrived at 3.45 . Spent eveing [sic] at Lorne McFarlane’s, keeping house. Fine and cold.
